Bean can and likely will be beat out, but the way people dump on a guy that was a pretty solid 6 last year is beyond me.
I don't mind Bean.... I just do not think he is worth losing out on our prospects for. Perhaps I am reading the situation wrong by not digging into his fancy stats but I would rather gamble on what Kuznetsov can do at the NHL level instead of preserving the last year of Bean's contract.

Also, people keep proposing that we go out and get other team's version of Kuznetsov in trades (young LHS defender selected in the 2nd round) but we have yet to see Kuznetsov play in the NHL.

With the current logjam of defenders, my priority would be to protect the guy with more potential.
Bahl-Weegar
Kuznetsov/Bean-Andersson
Hanley/Pachal-Parekh

Miromanov I am fine with sending to waivers.
Solovyov I would rather keep with the team. I thought him and Pachal looked good in their stint together.

The end state that I want for the D group this year is probably this:
Bahl-Weegar
Kuznetsov-Parekh
Solovyov-Pachal
X: Hanley, Bean

Until Andersson is traded though, the question becomes "who is most likely to pass through waivers?" or "who would you be least upset about losing to waivers?". I would be least upset if we lost Bean or Miromanov to waivers.
