The vote got the government back to the table and they've been having mediation sessions throughout the summer. If they don't have something to bring to their members by Friday, they'll likely be going on strike shortly after.
Oh man. This could be really good (and really devastating).

Can you imagine if the GoA workers and Teachers go on strike at the same time and stay on strike for a prolonged amount of time. That would be disastrous for the popularity of the UCP.

The government would grind to a halt at the same time as all of the parents who have had their heads in the ground get a rude awakening as their kids are suddenly not at their respective daycares (schools) it would be impossible to hide the incompetence of the government. The extra attention would definitely provide an opportunity for more people to become aware as to how horrible this government has become.

Also, with both groups striking at the same time there would be more leverage on their side to get the government to meet their demands. If I were a teacher, I probably would be adding a new demand to my list to ensure all of the kids in my classroom are vaccinated and healthy to promote a safer workplace and better results for the kids. Looking forward to a winter of Flu, Covid, and Measels would be super gross to me.
