Yet we cannot find a single example of a 35+ player getting a 1st.
Conroy did not get a 1st for Tanev, he didn’t get a 2nd for Zadorov. I just do not see any scenario where the Flames are getting a 1st for Backlund unless they are kicking in a 2nd or high prospect along with Backs and/or taking a brutal contract in return.
No way we see Backlund for a 1st at any point in the rest of his career. That is okay we need to have more realistic expectations.
