I’ve read a couple of Macintyre’s other books since, and while they’re good, they don’t match the Spy and the Traitor.

It was the Prague uprising that disillusioned him. I’ve read two other books of his: Rogue Heroes (wasn’t overly memorable, but I remember it being good) and Agent Sonya, which was fantastic, but nothing quite like what The Spy and the Traitor is. It reads like a novel, and it makes me want to rewatch The Americans.
