Shared this on Reddit but adding it here too: if you have a BC Personal Health Number (ie: if you’ve ever lived there or been admitted to a BC hospital — yay, appendix), you can just sign up to get your vaccine boosters there and it’s free like every other sane jurisdiction. I have to imagine you could probably do the same in other provinces too. Doesn’t make sense for one person alone to travel there just to save the $100, but if you already have a reason you’re visiting, it’s an easy way to get it. For a family of four, you're saving $300 if it costs $100 in fuel to get to the nearest border community with appointments open.
I got my third shot in Vernon while Alberta was still deciding whether they’d let enough doses expire before opening up third-dose availability.
Hell, I bet I still have the ability to get it in Manitoba, too.
