He signed with the Calgary Stampeders this season, and he says he’s ready to go.

“I’m hoping Dave (Dickenson) lets me go,” said Bighill.

“At the end of the day, there’s always roster conversations (and) sometimes there’s nothing you can control. I’m just hoping that this week it works out for me. Regardless, we’ve got guys who are ready to play, and I’m just waiting for my opportunity to get out there.

“So, when it’s time, it will be time, but I’m optimistic.”

”I’m certainly not in the business of rushing guys, but I think he’s ready; we just have to decide how we’re going to work on this roster,” said Dickenson.

“One of the things we as a team talk about is you’ve got to earn it, and he’s doing that.

“He’s doing the right things, and I guess we’ve just got to play it out.”
