I wonder how much this McTavish situation is holding up Rossi. Any team that might be interested in Rossi would be more interested in McTavish.

I get why not everyone would have the Flames as a preferred destination but if you're a young center who wants the chance to become a #1C I don't think there's a better market right now. There's no one in the way, if you're as good or better than Kadri I don't think there would be any qualms in getting his ice time.
