What a strange situation. I can not believe these parents.

I have a 11-month old son and I will also raise him to be strong, independent and know how to stand up for himself. But not to be a coward. This 4 year old will get his some day. He has no problem expressing his strength against younger weaker opponents but I will bet he is and will be quite the coward when faced against a tougher opponent.

On a some what related note. I like the idea of spraying down the other child with a hose/super soaker.

A while back I was out washing my truck in the front yard when one of the neighbours kids walks by at lunch on his way to school. His parents did not have quite the same mentality as your brother's neighbours but they were really flakey when it came to discipline. Anyhow, as I was washing my truck this kid decides it is a good idea to throw mud on the truck. Not a big deal I washed it off but he persists. I told him he should hed to school but he insists on throwing mud on my car. So I took the hose and soaked him down and I mean soaked him down. He could hardly walk home with the amount of water drenching his clothes.

Not two minutes later his dad comes driving up to the house, jumps out of his car and comes screaming up to me. He was not too happy in the least. I calmly stood up to him and explained what happened. He had the nerve to tell me that I had no right to do what I did. He told me to mind my own business when I asked if he would discipline his son.

I will never understand some people...
