I would suggest going to Canadian Tire or Walmart and pick up a cheap set. Use that set for a few rounds to see which clubs you like and which ones you dont. Use the rest of the money to go and buy individual clubs to replace the ones you dont like and garbage the ones your dont like.

I would suggest the clubs looking at for singular purchase as you can normally play any course with the below clubs:

Putter, Driver, Wedge, 5 Iron, Fairway Wood.
