I've never seen Cicek play, but he has played 16 NHL games. He has a 2 way contract. From a value perspective, its 1 year league min. He's an RFA at the end of the end of it. So if he does have a good year, there is some degree of value/control for the team. Even as an AHL journeyman, there is some value to having good players to push the young Flames D prospects.
