My new place is in a 1979 building. As such, it lacks the floor-to-ceiling windows I've become accustomed to and with it, a good deal of the natural light I love so much about my
current apartment.
I'm contemplating making one of these as a 'skylight' for my new place and putting it in the staircase. The condo is on the top two floors of the building so a skylight would be a plausible thing to have in such a suite, and one of the other places I had looked at even had a real skylight in the kitchen. One of the video comments mentioned using controllable LEDs and an Arduino to shift the colour temperature with the time of day to match with sunrise and sunset, which would be really friggin' slick.
Obviously my install will hide the wires and such.
