Interesting, typically when I say Left/Right, I am referring to taking a side in politics.
I have for a could of years accused the right of no longer being conservative, and saying that we should stop saying conservative, because they are actively engaged in a program of destroying institutions with a disinvestment mind set that will cost us all a lot more in the long run (which I have framed as anti-conservative, but fiscally and socially for the the destruction of social infrastructure and the financial short-termism).
I could find ways to levy similar critiques of the left, I'd say these guys are left wing partisans that hold a lot of liberal values, but realistically holding Liberal values in the US could put you right of the Ontario PCs in Canada (and maybe the Alberta PCs of the 90s/00s). So they are excessively Liberal, but they are definitely unambiguous about schilling for the Left wing of the political spectrum (not saying it's a bad thing, just saying they are open about who they are)
