I agree! I love hockey stories from far away places. Reminds me of a book I read about a semi-pro Hungarian goalie who turned to be a bank robber, among other things: Attila Ambrus. I just looked it up, the title:
"Ballad of the Whiskey Robber: A True Story of Bank Heists, Ice Hockey, Transylvanian Pelt Smuggling, Moonlighting Detectives, and Broken Hearts"
