I don't think Anaheim hired Quenneville, took on Kreider and Trouba so that they could turn McTavish into futures. I'd think they will want some more immediate help if they were going to make a deal. Seems strange that they would want to move on from McTavish though. Based on what Royal or others have suggested I don't think the Flames are willing to put their own first in play, but the VGK one could be.
