I am all for the Jays going for it, but I need an impact position player or starter with lots of control to give up Nimmala, Yesavage, Tiedemann, King or Stephan.
Orelvis Martinez, Jonatan Clase and Leo Jimenez are all out of options next year, so those are players I would look to use to acquire bullpen help.
Michael Soroka is a guy who can start and can pitch out of the pen, he would be a guy to add to eat some innings down the stretch.
David Bednar is a high leverage arm who still has another year of control. Pete Fairbanks is another guy who could be available and has a club option for next year. Raisel Iglesias should be available.

I'm always going to cheer for the only Calgarian in MLB, and I love the idea of the Jays acquiring Soroka just for that reason. But I don't think he's an upgrade on the current rotation, and they need more high leverage guys/guys you can use in the playoffs in the pen, which isn't really the role I'd see him in. So baseball wise it doesn't seem like a good fit to me.
I'd love to see them sign him in the offseason and get Walker and the boys in Dunedin working with him - I think there's a chance a move to Canada unleashes what he was in his rookie year. Sort of the baseball version of Sam Bennett going to Florida.
