Happy Gilmore 2 was basically what i expected.
The main story line seemed sort of "Lebron James' Space Jam" with the "maxi golf" style. Certainly an attempt to attract a new audience vs filling the whole of white men in the 30s and 40s, maybe?
A few cheesy jokes (Mr. Larson's kid and mom was basically a skit done by a 12 year old) but some hardy chuckles out of me in other jokes (I laughed hard at Shooter reading "The Shining" and his delivery).
I don't know much about professional golfers outside of a few of the players. So some of the easter eggs were over my head, but there was some funny stuff.
Shooter McGavin was easily the highlight of the movie, and should have been used more. A story about the two of them teaming up to beat some up and comers would've been pretty good.
Ill probably never watch it again, but I'm not regretting having seen it.
