It is actually kind of unbelievable that there are many on here who want to keep the veterans like Kadri and Coleman instead of getting value for them. I think many Flames fans are just hoping to have a decent team, and don't actually want a contender! Many seem to be fine with never picking up elite talent at the top of the draft.

Well once again you prove that you've made no effort to actually understand what others have said. The above isn't representative of how many of us feel. Instead, at least myself, and i suspect others
- recognize this team isn't going to tear it down to the studs for a strip down re-build
- understand that Kadri has full trade protection
- see more than one way to build a contender
- don't see the value in complaining about the same things hundreds of times. instead we choose to accept some of the above realities and discuss the possibilities of building a good team within those.
To say "don't actually want a contender" is such a lazy summary of those with different views. Either try to actually hear what people are saying, or at minimum, don't over simplify those views. You talk about wanting people to be more open minded, yet have exhibited no ability to be that way yourself. Instead you completely ignore and mis-represent what others are saying.
Show me one. single. quote where someone says "they don't want a contender".
