As always, there is dumb, then there is hockey dumb, which too frequently is on a different level. Lack of thought is a big part of hockey’s culture problem. After all, 20 years ago this is the same culture who collectively rolled back their wages 20%, lost an entire season of their career while still ultimately getting a salary cap.
Something no other sport has managed to match before or after.

So what would players have to do in that scenario. Call their GM or union rep right before having sex to clear it first? That sounds a little unreasonable. If not hard to manage.
