No reflection, no acceptance of blame, no "we'll see what we can do better." No, they call out the people of the town that got burned down, claim words from first responders are a politically motivated attack, and demand an apology from the entire town. You know, the one that lost everything. Well #### them, they should say sorry, too.

The town should respond with a separation referendum.
It is so much worse when you consider the cuts the province made to the fire fighting and fire prevention efforts. They cut millions and millions out of firefighter programs, eliminated training for volunteer fightfighters, closed fire watchtowers, and worst of all they eliminated the Firefighter Rappel Team.

This Rappel team was an elite group who specialized in fighting wild fires in mountainous regions. Regions like... Jasper.

Even if Jasper is in the national park, historically it would have been an "all hands on deck" situation and the Rappel team would have been deployed and almost certainly would have reduced the damage to the town.

Note: The rappel team had been in place for 40 years.

But what is a magnitude worse is that a lot of those cuts took place in 2019/2020. The people of Jasper could have voted for a party that would have reversed those cuts but instead they voted for more UCP.

How much do the leopards need to eat their faces before they stop voting for the Leopards Eating People's Faces party???
