Just came from there. I only live an hour & 15 minutes away. I took my kids to Fort Steel today. If I was from Alberta and had a couple days to kill there I would probably grab an area map book that shows all the camping/hiking/fising spots in the area. There's lots you can get to with a 2wheel drive. You might take a day trip over the Gray Creek pass to Kootenay Lake. It's a bumpy road but awsome scenery. Hang a left when you hit the Lake and you'll find a great beach(Crawford Bay) in about 7 minutes.
Actually if you don't want to go that far Moyie Lake is just 20 minutes from Cranbrook and has a great beach and warmer water. It's along the highway.
