I assume they don't want to commit to a big deal with MacT where their could soon be a significant logjam at the position. It is really too bad if Rasmus won't re-up in a place like Anaheim cause it seems like such a incredible trading partner for Calgary. Trouba and Gudas are off the books this year for a combined 12M cap clearance. A 29 Y/O Andersson could jump in at the dollar value Trouba currently holds and lead that young defence core. A 1 for 1 with McTavish would be a sweet piece of business. I can't see big interest in Zary with the recent acquisitions of Granlund and Kreider.

I thought Sennecke was an RW. Did he play centre last year? It would be quite the jump to 3rd line C in the NHL if he has little experience playing the position at lower levels.
