This times 10. I don't understand sometimes this obsession with cutting traditional cable as a cost cutting measure when comparing apples to apples. Nothing is cheap anymore but I pay $143/month for cable/internet TSN/Sportsnet and associated million channels, HBO, Crave and a international channel that normally goes for $17/month.

When you factor in upgraded internet packages and adding up all the streaming services and specialty channels, I don't see any sort of big savings at all from cutting the cord. I think a lot of people just fail to shop around or just do the simple math.

Friends of mine laugh that I still have the old school Shaw PVR system but it's reliable and a much better deal. I think my cable portion of the bill is approx $75/month for everything I described and here we are talking about a single Sportsnet app costing 40% of that.
