I eat raw eggs all the time. The risk of salmonella is present but fairly low. In order for an egg to get salmonella the chicken must have it first. In other words the chicken must be extremely unhealthy. This usually happens in high feed lot type situations. So if you buy a slightly higher priced and free range type egg the risk is made even smaller. Basicaly, do it at your own risk. I do it and am not worried at all.

Some sources say that eating too many eggs can raise your cholesterol, but others say it is fine. I try to eat omega -3 enriched eggs, which potentially can even lower your cholesterol.
