He got heat for posing with a stack of bills in Vegas. Had nothing to do with race, it was because shortly after he declared bankruptcy and had gambling issues, ###### bag move. Stories about his domestic life, where his wife accused him of stuff just made it easy to pile on as it came so close to his gambling stuff (even if she was proven to be a liar). Acting like an ass in Winnipeg where his teammates couldn't stand him and leaving restaurants without paying, douce bag move.
He can't seem to stay out of the way of trouble. Gets back to Van, ends up in a stupid bikini bar and gets punched. The first thought that comes to mind is WTF is he doing already (until the story comes out that he was sticking up for one of the female staff). He really needs to learn to stay out of these situations. I honestly never heard of any issues in Edmonton, he seemed to take his domestic life more serious and stayed out of trouble.

Yeah, I was thinking this too, it does seem very 'blamey' in the 'I'm not a bad guy, they just dont like me because of my race!'
And yet was he not part of some NHL Diversity Committee and had to be kicked off? And who was it again that threw his clothes in the shower? Oh yeah, another player of colour.
It has nothing to do with his race or colour, the guy is just a genuine piece of ####.
