If he’s willing to go and you can get value, pull the ####ing trigger. This isn’t rocket science. You don’t need to worry about other teams winning a trade so much as at this stage you need to worry about yourself winning a trade and crystallizing on an asset that almost undoubtedly does not improve is just a good business decision. Kadri WILL NOT improve drastically, certainly not to an extent to create a course correction for the Flames such that now they are a cup contender.
Make the ####ing deal, go get your futures so you properly manage the roster / assets… learn from the Gaudreau and Andersson mistakes of holding onto assets beyond the right time to pull the trigger…
Like this shouldn’t be a scorched earth scenario where you need a ridiculous win on a trade before you finally decide to do the right strategic move. If it works pull the trigger. This quote drives me nuts because it reeks of Murray Edwards. It’s not enough to win you have to DESTROY oh and then because of that stupid ####ing logic ironically your team never moves out of the mushy middle.
So frustrating. It does not and should not require a “blow the socks off” proposal to meet Kadri. Kadri is not that.

Kadri is 100 percent in control. Flames can want to move him all they want. End of the Day it's his choice. And they should buy all rights demand a good deal. They'd be dumb to just dump him for scraps. Like it or not, Kadri is here.
