Yes I do think it would be worth it. 2nd round picks are valuable assets in the NHL, and allow you to do many different things. Instead we "jammed" up the younger kids by signing a 34 year old Joel Hanley to a two year deal.
I would agree. Dubas' strong work weaponizing the cap is quite clear. Advantage of a rebuild rather than retool where he does not care who is in the lineup because they do not wish to be competitive.

Conroy's dream of staying competitive in his retool prevents him from doing similar moves.

Would have rather had Dumba+2nd for one yr than Hanley for 2 years.

Come on Craig, weaponize your cap space! Not much harm in a Dumbaesque player eating popcorn as your 7 or 8 D man if he is that bad; if you can add an asset in return.
