When Zary was on this year, he reminded me of Reschny when he skated the puck up the ice and entered the zone with speed and control. Reschny does that a lot.
The main difference that I see is that Zary is more of a shoot first player, while Reschny is more of a playmaker who patiently draws players towards him in the offensive zone and then has really great vision and deception to hit the open player (all those primary assists!).
This is part of the reason why his numbers spiked after the new year, as the team brought in a couple of high end finishers. His game didn't change, but his shooters finished more of his passes (and the team had more talent in the lineup).
Interesting Camronius mentioned Tanguay... I didn't think about him, but he's a good comparable.
