Mavi Diary - Day 8

Dear Diary. I was out in public today. Yikes!

I was almost in an accident when driving. I distinctly remember Ron Maclean and Elliotte Friedman saying that I had a right of way rule. Basically I can go wherever I want. No interference, no delays. It’s ridiculous that red lights and stop signs apply to me.

I was at wife Lauren’s money pit…I mean bar…downtown. I grabbed a diet water in a mug (“no charge for you Connor!”) and went outside. I sat on the ground, leaned on the wall, stared at the ground, and some guy walked by and put a loonie in my mug and said “good luck to you son”. I looked up at him and said “you’ve made a mistake, I just haven’t signed a new contract yet but I’m okay.” He said “William Macy! Are you in your hobo character? So convincing!” I went back inside and put the loonie into the tips jar, thinking I was being a good guy.

Lauren told me later that the staff was offended that I only tipped $1 and I’m the owner’s husband!

Not sure I’ll go outside any time soon.
