Eh, Byram is 24 years old and really just an offensive defenseman in the grand scheme of things. Does he play over Parekh in our hypothetical PP1 of the future? Probably not, at which point you're not going to get Byram's fully realized upside here either.
What would be more valuable than Byram is a Chris Tanev / Devon Toews type of D to pair with Parekh, which would be less expensive, both from a trade cost perspective and a cap perspective. Especially since we have a really offensive minded RD prospect in Brzustewicz who would also work best with a more complete partner, and Weegar despite being a right shot is very comfortable on the left side as well.
