2019 is a really interesting year to look at- it's probably the 'nadir' in recent years of prospect rankings (the team had a fairly young graduated core of Gaudreau, Monahan, Bennett, Tkachuk, Andersson, Mang amongst others) and Vali is certainly a meh #1, but looking at the guys from 2019 that became NHLers of some degree (including yes tweeners) you have

1. Valimaki
2. Dube
3. Kylington
4. Pelletier
7. Phillips (marginal)
9. Pospisil
14 Rucizka
18 Wolf
24 Lomberg
32 Kirkland

so still 10 names even in what was a bad prospect pool overall. 2,3 and 14 got derailed for 3 totally different reasons which is probably atypical. the best prospect of course is # 18

the 4 guys with (can't really say still) as some left and came back are 9,18, 24, 32 and that's basically next years 4th line and our starting goalie!
