Though I still maintain that the Flames should have traded Andersson last season - team-friendly deal was an asset in itself, especially as cap room was at a premium - this is a seller's market right now. We have heard through the pundits how some GMs are complaining that there aren't enough players in the market. I think it works itself out, and I am glad that Conroy is showing patience right now under the pressure.
I guess Kadri was 100% fake rumors. If Kadri gets dealt, I think it will either be at the deadline, or next off-season. Full NMC right now, but he has a 13 team NTC that kicks in next season. So either the Flames are out and Kadri is tired of losing, and/or he realizes that by getting traded with a full NMC gives him the power to go exactly where he wants, rather than simply picking his 13 least desirable destinations. That thought would cross my mind.
