They are on the upswing basically because they can't go down. Getting Schaefer this year would have made them more viable long term.
Would Andersson make them a better team this year? Of course, he'd make any team better.
But they are likely still far away from being a playoff contender that trading multiple assets for Andersson likely sets them back long term if they want to be a true contender.

Their D is still not great but it is not as bad as it was in June. Orlov was a great add. They could have a decent group if they could upgrade their #1RD and move out most of their group from last year.

But without that #1RD upgrade they are basically running Liljegren or Klingberg as the top pair RD which is not going to go well.
