The trade was originally discussed as Frost for Kuzmenko. They then added Farabee and Pelletier to the deal. So with the price of Farabee being Pelletier, what do YOU think his thoughts were? I doubt he thought he was getting a Zary level player at the cost of Pelletier, a waver wire tweener.
What he likely was thinking was that he thinks Farabee has the potential to return to form, and is a good, and cheap, gamble. Anything beyond that is fans assuming too much.
