Yeah I think it’s what you actually do that counts. In another thread people are criticizing Conroy because he considered re-signing guys like Lindholm which is an equally bad take IMO.
Florida deserves a ton of credit for who they acquired. And Conroy to his credit makes no excuses for the Flames mishandling of Bennett.
