Yeah I definitely agree he’s earned the right for the UFA piece. I guess for me though, if the reports about only extending in Vegas are true, I just see that as a bit short sighted personally and overplaying his hand in that sense. Likely means less money, and I’m not sure it means automatically he’s going to get a championship out of it- not a big believer in Vegas, if I was Rasmus I just don’t know if I’d try and angle myself into one team as you can imagine what the offers look like if they know that.
I guess basically my point is if you’re telling the Flames that, it’s overplaying your UFA hand a bit. It hurts you just like it hurts the Flames.
