Was there a rumoured top prospect involved yes. Was it a goalie, yes. Do we have a need for a goalie long term. I sure don’t believe so. I’m not discrediting that it wasn’t a good offer but I don’t think it was a need to pull the trigger for the flames. We all know the holes in the roster…future LHD, C preferably those of the RHS.
Also there is nothing to Rasmus not being interested in signing in LA. He just wasn’t willing to put pen to paper if approached which hasn’t happened with LA or Any team. IF Rasmus is moved. I expect this to drag out for a couple more weeks…things are in a cool off period between Ras and Flames.One source says the door is still open to an extension but it will be on flames terms.
