No they don't need to make the team. But we see it every camp where waiver eligibility and NHL games played holds a rookie off the roster. I would love to see them move Miromanov and Bean. That would leave Solovyov, Kuznetsov, and someone like Brzustewicz in the 6,7,8 spots. Not sure if there is a market though.
