No, not really. I think those people want to see players who were signed to long term deals (5 years or so) traded when those deal is down to 2 years remaining, the team is rebuilding, and the player is now approaching 30 years old and is probably at peak value, where waiting is probably only going to see that players value drop.
Hanifin and Rasmus are both prime examples.
Doesn't apply in this scenario.
I could see Frost traded at the TDL, or next summer though if the situation calls for it.
