Not to sound like an A$$ but if you have leveled off go take some lessons, its amazing what someone else can see in your swing that you can't feel.

Also one of the biggest tips I can tell new or struggling golfers, NEVER listen to your friends, go talk to a pro. Your friends are probably hacking it around the course like you, so what makes you think they can teach you anything about developing your swing.
