Unfortunately now the reality appears to be thst that ship has sailed. If Anderson did play the Vegas only card after leading Conroy along saying he'd consider contenders yeah that's a bit skeevy on his part but thems the breaks.
Now the return is looking more like single season rental prices which of course will be significantly lower and possibly leaving us with nothing due to the additional risk of having to play him clear until the TDL next season. Did Conroy muff it by not trading him last year before an extension was an option? It's quite possible but can't change the past now.
Rampant fan expectations for a return of gold and myrrh seem to be what's driving most of the panic and anger here. It's our own fault for buying into it in the first place. Member when it was gonna be Mercer and a top 10 pick for Markstrom? Yeah it's that again. So hopefully Rasmus gets traded for something decent soon and we all go home happy. If he's still on the roster to start the season holy guacamole are the takes going to reach surface of the sun white hot. Can't wait.

Yep, exactly. We held the cards last season and some of this season and didn't trade him, It is what it is now and it looks like he is a rental price now, which tends top be a late first, pedestrian prospect and other scrap. At this point just get that and move on, and if possible don't deal with Vegas..
