Well... 100 is still pretty high (although i am hardly better) so i am guessing lessons would help a LOT more per dollar spent then new clubs.

That being said, i saw a huge improvement in my game when i upgraded from a set of $140 starter clubs (for the entire set including bag!) to a far better set. But i think that had more to do with how bad the old clubs were and less to do with the new clubs being better then last years version of decent clubs or one brand versus the other, for example.
