Yup and the Flames owe nothing to the player to trade him where he wants to sign. They can do what they want with the asset and if he plays hardball then I play hardball back.
No point in taking a garbage return from Vegas. Trade him wherever/whenever and who cares at this point if he is showcased for a trade or not. Let him sign a 6 year deal wherever he wants next year instead of 8 now.
IF he is being difficult to deal with the org can be difficult to deal with moving forward as well. They should do what is best for the flames and that is playing young players and giving them the minutes and opportunities. If Andersson loses some value next summer because of it then so be it.
