His value hasn't really changed in the last year. It does change dramatically tomorrow when the calendar rolls over on all NHL contracts and he is finally able to sign an extension.
Any team who wants to secure a new #1RD has a single target, Andersson. He can be had for a 1 year deal that is super cap friendly or a 9 year deal that has 1 year of tiny cap hit and 8 years of top pair dollars.
I doubt his value has ever been higher than it will be tomorrow. He is the only guy available with 9 or 10 teams looking to acquire him. This is good for the Flames and it is good for him.
