It seems like you get confused between someone challenging your opinion v. telling them they can't have it.
More than that, optimism is a choice. I find certain posters, are just a constant pattern of negativity. I think that should be challenged particularly in an area like sports that is supposed to be fun.
And I'll be blunt. You are an example of that. You show up from time to time, as you did the last week, and just post a stream of negative posts that don't add to the discussion at all.
I have all the time in the world for people who don't share my opinion, but make an effort to provide an interesting perspective. And this site is blessed with a lot of those people.

It's usually folks that cheer for the hometown team. It's frustrating to watch the organization so poorly represent the people of Calgary. They have very little in common with the identity of the fans or what makes Calgary great.
If I were unbiased choosing, I'd be a Vegas fan any day. Made everyone look like fools, upended the apple cart of the old NHL, and continue to do it. If you see an interview with their ownership, they're hard not to like.
