Meh, I still don't see it changing that much. Having only one preferred destination for an extension means the Flames take it that there are no destinations for extension. Get the no trade list and go to work from their. Not ideal, but I think most players heading into the UFA year probably are of the mindset that they will explore free agency. Extend and Trade or still very rare.
Ras is going to need to get used to playing in Minnesota or LA or wherever he isn't keen on, or up his list of teams he is willing to extend for.
