Get Anderson's list of teams on his no trade list, send an email to every other team and ask for your best offer for 50% retained Ras for this season. If I was Conroy (or in his position) I would get vindictive in this one case, send him to the worst team not on his list.
The only time the sign and trade worked is with Tkachuk. He seemed to have been honest enough that he wasn't signing again, told the GM he would like Florida but didn't leak it to the press which allowed Treliving to get the best deal possible. Conroy seems to have followed this, but Hanifin and now Anderson seem to think they get to leak stuff like this.
