One of the other options - and I think it might be a good one - is if Vegas doesn't offer up enough, then trade Andersson to the best package that is offered, and intentionally place a preference on the teams that Conroy feels will do the worst this season. Not to spite Andersson, but simply to maximize the value of the 1st. 11th overall is more valuable than 25th overall + 2nd + prospect, for instance.
That's the pivot I would do sooner rather than later. Just bet on the teams that you feel are likely to regress even with Andersson, and go from there.
