All this ‘sell, sell, sell before he reverts to a pumpkin’ talk is nonsense. What are we doing here? Building a contention culture by moving your fiercest competitors (lots of talk about moving Coleman and Kadri)?
Other than foot speed after 35, we should have no concerns about Ras.
If you really want to trade him, then if the narrative around Ras was ‘Flames working on signing him’ then I bet the offers would be better. We’ve painted ourselves into a corner by publicly saying that won’t happen.

I think the ship has sailed here, no?
Reports just a handful of days ago that the two sides do not see eye-to-eye on a contract.
I think this is a case of addition by subtraction. The Flames need to open a spot for Parekh and Bruztewicz not long after. If they don’t get an offer they like, fine, start the year with Andersson and shelter Parekh as much as you can. Make the move prior to the TDL. Is Andersson’s value today going to be dramatically worse in February/March? Probably not. I agree it would be preferable to deal with it now, but, as unpopular an opus’s this is going to be, they’re not in a spot right now to trade him for whatever they can get. The Flames do have leverage here.
