Sure would be nice if Ras would sign an extension in Vegas. They are a legit cup contender in a highly desired locale, and then the Flames could get better value for trading him there.
Of course, those crooked SOBs would probably tell his camp not to sign one prior to any trade so they can get him cheaper and then simply extend him afterwards.
Kind of like how Hanifin wouldn't sign any extensions prior to being traded on March 6th but then had no problem signing one a little over a month later on April 11th.
