I love that Conroy is sticking to his guns and not a pushover, he’s building his brand amongst the GMs and I think he’s been killing it, especially how he’s attacking drafts, lots of draft capital the last 3 years and already 8 picks for next year, he’s completely revitalizing the prospect system of the team and generating longevity in the cupboards. It’s fantastic to see, I don’t understand the constant lamenting from some posters when they hear something that is still very speculative especially when I think by now Conroy has proven he’s got a path that he’s following and he’s getting great value out of drafting and asset management. Has he won every trade? No but he’s still got pieces from every trade to be excited about; Reschny and an extended Bahl for Markstrom is a pretty great return early on and could become a remarkable return in time. Miromanov has been disappointing but we still have Vegas 1st next year so it’s hard to be fully upset about the return on that trade IMO.
